The issue of health care is going to be center stage when campaigning begins for the next President. Since Obamacare has been met with so much opposition, including lawsuits and tea party uprising against it, the issue has taken a back burner to other more immediate needs that have arisen - Afghanistan, Japan, Libya, and so on. The real solution to our health care woes needs to start with the simplest idea. Sometimes the solution is so simple we overlook it. So what's a good first step to health care?
If we just look at the nomenclature of the subject matter, the answer is plain to see. When speaking about 'health care', the first thing that should come to mind is caring for our health. That means it starts with personal responsibility and choosing things that are healthy versus those that aren't. We can narrow down these choices specifically into a few basic items.
The first is what we choose to eat. Our diet is one of, if not the most, influential aspect of health. Choosing plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, grapes, and berries are going to provide the best source of nutrition, fiber, and antioxidants for supporting good health and preventing sickness and disease. Because most people don't get enough of these foods in their diet, we recommend adding a whole food nutritional supplement like Juice Plus+. Providing nutrients from 7 different fruits and 8 different vegetables and 9 different grapes and berries, Juice Plus+ can help support your health.
The second choice to make concerns what liquids we're drinking. This is an easy one. Water should be what is consumed almost always, save some for coffee or tea or wine or spirits. The liquids we consume should be 90% comprised of water. That is an easy way to approach, maybe not the most likeable by many but certainly the healthiest. This eliminates soft drinks and sugary drinks that add too many calories and unhealthy calories at that.
The final choice to make regarding caring for your health is exercise. This is a bit harder, but getting some form of physical exercise everyday. Not just 3 times per week, but everyday even if its a little. Get the blood flow going and the heart rate up via exercise is a good way to keep feeling good and healthy!
Of course, avoiding a few of the most common things that are contributing to poor health is a necessary part of the plan. The means avoiding tobacco, fast foods, soft drinks, processed foods, and excessive alcohol consumption. It may be a cliche but the plan is 'easier said than done'....but do it anyway. Then we won't need Congress or the President wasting our tax dollars debating for hours on how get everyone treatment for problems, most of which could be avoided through healthy choices.
