While you may not agree with the notion that eating unhealthy food day after day, gaining an excessive amount of weight that results in obesity, then making it the food maker's fault... there should be some responsibility on both sides. McDonald's is just not a place to go for your nutrition needs. Period. You need to survive because there's nothing else to eat in the world except McDonald's? Fine. Do it. Otherwise, the fast food system is set up to increase the desire (addiction?) for those foods so you want to eat them again...and again. There are no vitamins or nutrients that you'll find from plant-based foods. We push the Juice Plus+ supplement because too many people won't cut this "junk" out of their diet in favor of more fruits and vegetables. Honestly, you wouldn't need a supplement like Juice Plus+ if you had a diet that was sans fast food and adequate fruits and vegetables. Comment: There is no doubt that as individuals we have to be responsible for our actions. But where's the individual making the decisions about what to serve at the restaurant? There are people behind corporations, not just a business name and building. Do we not consider that? I know people that own pizza restaurants and they tell me that they eat "very little" of what they serve. Why? Because they know it's fattening and not nutritious. In Japan and Korea they have --at the upper levels of management-- professional drinkers who have to go out and get sloshed when a deal is done. By having separate drinkers the managers can concentrate on working and not be constantly hung over.
These pro drinkers can claim medications and treatment for liver damage as work-related injury.

Final Word: Stick to the healthy foods - fruits and vegetables first and foremost. There just isn't room in our life for the worst of foods. You CAN make a pizza healthy by putting fresh fruits and vegetables on it and using wheat dough and organic sauce, and putting the fruits and veggies on the pie later in the cooking process so less nutrients get "killed"....just a thought.
